QuickStart #

Now that you’ve successfully installed WooCommerce, it’s time to start listing products for sale on your site. WooCommerce has five different product types: Simple ProductGrouped ProductExternal/Affiliate ProductVariable Product, and Downloadable Product. In this section, you will learn how to add and configure each of them properly.

Product Categories, tags & attributes #

If you want to have a well-organized shop in which users could easily find their desired product, it’s crucial to separate your products by categories, tags, and attributes. The following video shows you how to do that.

Simple Products #

Simple Product is the most common and easy-to-use WooCommerce product type. You will learn how to add a simple product by watching this short video:

Grouped Products #

Sometimes you want to sell a group of individual products as a package. For example, you may want to sell a digital music album which consists of ten single tracks. In this case, you can group them together so the users can add them to their cart in a single go. The following video shows you how to create a grouped product:

Suppose you want to sell products that are already on Amazon and receive a commission, but you don’t own them. In this case you need to use External/Affiliate product type.

Variable Products #

To sell a product with variations, for example, selling a t-shirt in multiple colors, you’ll need to use Variable Product type. Remember, to be able to use this product type, you have to add attributes to your WooCommerce first.
